Service
Cloud Solutions & DevOps
Run your applications on cloud infrastructure that is secure, observable and cost-aware, and ship changes through automated pipelines that make releases routine rather than risky.
What this service covers
Infrastructure your team can trust and understand
Cloud platforms offer enormous flexibility, but without discipline they become sprawling, expensive and fragile. Undocumented manual changes, unclear ownership and missing monitoring are common sources of outages and surprise bills.
We design cloud environments as code, automate the path from commit to production and put monitoring in place so problems are detected before customers notice. Everything is documented so your team can operate it with confidence.
Typical scope includes
- Cloud architecture design and reviews
- Migration from on-premises or other providers
- Infrastructure as code and environment automation
- CI/CD pipelines and release automation
- Monitoring, logging, alerting and cost optimisation
Business problems
Challenges we help you solve
Manual, error-prone deployments
Releases depend on a few individuals following checklists, often outside business hours.
Unexpected cloud bills
Idle resources, oversized instances and unmonitored services drive costs upward.
Limited visibility
Issues are reported by users before the team knows anything is wrong.
Inconsistent environments
Differences between development, staging and production cause bugs that are hard to reproduce.
Capabilities
What’s included
Cloud architecture
Well-structured AWS and Azure environments designed for security, resilience and cost.
Infrastructure as code
Version-controlled, repeatable infrastructure that can be reviewed like application code.
CI/CD pipelines
Automated build, test, security scanning and deployment for every change.
Containers and orchestration
Containerised workloads and Kubernetes where scale and portability justify it.
Observability
Metrics, logs, traces and actionable alerts with clear runbooks.
Cost optimisation
Right-sizing, scheduling, reserved capacity and tagging for cost accountability.
How the engagement works
Working together
Engagements range from a focused assessment to ongoing platform operations.
- Cloud readiness or architecture assessment with prioritised recommendations
- Migration projects planned in waves to limit risk
- Pipeline and automation build-outs alongside your developers
- Ongoing operations through managed services

Expected benefits
Operational benefits to expect
Benefits vary by organisation and starting point; these are the improvements this service is designed to support.
Calmer releases
Automated pipelines make deployments repeatable and reversible.
Earlier problem detection
Monitoring and alerts surface issues before they become incidents.
Cost transparency
Tagging and reporting show where cloud spend goes and why.
Resilience
Backups, redundancy and recovery plans protect critical services.

Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions we hear most often. If yours is not covered here, our team is happy to talk it through.
It depends on your existing technology, skills, required services and commercial agreements. We work with AWS and Azure and will recommend the option that best fits your situation.
Not always. Kubernetes is powerful for complex, multi-service systems but adds operational overhead. Many applications run well on simpler managed services, and we only recommend Kubernetes when its benefits outweigh the cost.
A cost review usually identifies savings through right-sizing, removing unused resources, scheduling non-production environments and using commitment discounts. We quantify opportunities before making changes.
We plan migrations in waves, replicate data ahead of cut-over, test thoroughly and keep rollback paths ready. Some systems allow near-zero downtime; others need a short, planned maintenance window.
